About the Role

Do you want to make a difference? If you are not already a trained guard, Securitas will cover your training before employment.

We are currently looking for new employees who can start working with us as needed relatively soon, both as stationary and patrolling guards. The working hours vary, but we currently have the greatest need at night.

As a patrolling guard, your primary task is to deliver safety to our customers – primarily at industries, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft, and damage. Usually, you will manage the alarm systems and report using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and is often perceived as free, but with great responsibility.

As a stationary guard, your primary task is to provide safety to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. Often, you will work at the entrance of a larger company, checking those who pass in and out, but you may also perform patrols and camera surveillance. The tasks vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility.

The positions are suitable for those who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. The tasks are highly varied, and as a guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. Since we operate every day of the year, weekend work every other weekend is common.

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of high school
• Good knowledge of English
• Driver's license B

Preferred if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civil or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you are an independent person who trusts your own abilities, quickly understands problems, and solves them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from the first year of high school in Swedish and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legality, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
